MOTOR SERVICE SECTION<br />
RULE 203 SUPERVISION. The Motor Se rvice Section<br />
shall be under the di r ect con trol o f a<br />
me mber or employee who shall be known as the<br />
<strong>com</strong>manding officer and shall h ave the immediate<br />
superv iSion, subj ect to the orders of the<br />
<strong>com</strong>manding officer of the Services and Supplie<br />
s Division, of all members and employees<br />
assigned to duty therein.<br />
RULE 201+ RESPONSI BI LI1Y. The <strong>com</strong>manding officer<br />
of the Motor Service Section shall be<br />
responsible for all maintenance and service<br />
record s , the repairs to department ve hicles<br />
and v e hi c ular equipment, the appraisal of<br />
damages and adj ustmen t of repair ch arges for<br />
such vehicles and vehicular equipment.<br />
RULE 205 DAMAGE TO EQUI PMEHT - INVESTI GATE.<br />
The <strong>com</strong>ma.nding office r o f the Motor Service<br />
Section shal l inve s tigate, or cause to be investigated,<br />
all accidents resul ting in damage<br />
to depa.rtment vehicle s and vehicular equipment<br />
and s hall himself appear, or be represe nted,<br />
in court in all cases involving damage to such<br />
equipment when placed in litigation.<br />
RULE 206 REPAIRS - AUTHORIZE. The <strong>com</strong>manding<br />
officer of the Motor Service Section shall<br />
authorize all repairs to department vehicles<br />
a. nd vehicular equipment in individu al instances<br />
in accord a nce with s uch general instructions<br />
as the Commi ss i one r of Police may<br />
i ss ue. Such mino r adjustments and repairs as<br />
the mechanics attached to this section are<br />
<strong>com</strong>petent t6 ac<strong>com</strong>plish s uccessfully and effici<br />
en tly shall be made under th e direction of<br />
the <strong>com</strong>manding officer of the section.<br />
RULE 207 REPORTS - DAILY OPERATIONS. The<br />
<strong>com</strong>manding officer of the section shall receive,<br />
investigate and act upon all reports of<br />
