irRULE 190 MEDICAL ROLL. When the name of a
member of employee appears on the medical roll
it shall be carried the reon until a "Return to •
Duty" notice is issued to said member or employee
by the Medical Section.
RULE 191 RETURN TO DUTY. A member or employee
shall return to duty on the date specified
on the "Return to Duty" notice or stand
re-examination by the Medical Section.
RULE 192 ADDRESS - IWTICE OF CHANGE. When a
member or employee is carried on the medical
roll he s hall confer with the Medical Section
before changing h is address or hospi tal.
RULE 193 LIGHT DUTY MEMBERS. The Chief Surgeon
shall recommend to the Director of Personnel
members or employees for light duty assignments.
Such members or employees shall be
selected from those persons assigned to the
medical roll. The Chief Surgeon shall designate
the duties which such member or employee
may safely and effectively perform. He shall
maintain a card index file explaining the
medica l history and light duty activities of
each member or employee as aSSigned. The jurisdiction
of the Chief Surgeon shall be
restricted to the professional, medical a nd
diagnos tic services of the member's or employee's
disabilities and shall not extend to the
pI acement of such persons to the ir assignment.
RULE 194 EXAMIIlATION - PER 1001 C. The Chief
Surgeon shall make, or cause to be made, a
physical and medical examination incl uding a
chemical and microscopic urinalysi s of all
members and employees of the department. This
examination sha.!l be given yearly if possible.
