by Charlos Akey has been purchased by Eddie Dew.<br />
• CINCINNATI. O.—L. Eid Concrete Construction Company has<br />
contract to erect an airdome.<br />
CLEVELAND, O.—New Grand theater has been remodeled<br />
and reopened. A $25,000 organ has been installed.<br />
CLEVELAND, O.—Union theater has opened under the manncnt<br />
of George Treka. House has seating capacity for<br />
people.<br />
HUGO. OKLA.—O. Gill, owner of the Dixie theater, has purchased<br />
the Erie from A. J. Wright and J. D. Risinger.<br />
KENTON, O.-—Majestic theater has opened under the management<br />
of D. M. Detrick.<br />
KENTON, O.—J. H. Stevenson has disposed of the Idlehour<br />
theater on West Franklin street to D. M. Detrick. The<br />
house will be remodeled and conducted under the management<br />
of A. W. Reel.<br />
MIDDLETOWN, O.—Eagle theater has been remodeled and<br />
renamed the New Majestic.<br />
WILMINGTON, O.—Charles W. Murphy will erect $150,000<br />
theater, to be known as the Clinton. It will be conducted<br />
under the joint management of Frank and James Murphy.<br />
DEVAL, OKLA.—<strong>Moving</strong> picture theater has been opened<br />
here under the management of G. W. McKenzie.<br />
HOLDENVILLE, OKLA.—Robert Howell has purchased the<br />
Empress theater.<br />
KINGFISHER, OKLA.—<strong>Moving</strong> picture theater has been<br />
established in the Masonic Temple building under the management<br />
of J. L. Carr.<br />
LAWTON, OKLA.—M. S. Simpson has sold his interest in<br />
the Temple theater.<br />
LILA, OKLA.—<strong>Moving</strong> picture theater will be opened here<br />
by R. E. Smith.<br />
MANGUM, OKLA.—Charles Breasby has taken over George<br />
Slaton's half interest in the Blue Bird theater. The firm will<br />
hereafter be known as Breasby & Patterson.<br />
MIAMI, OKLA.—J. W. Cotter, owner and manager of the<br />
Picher theater, and Gus Bennett, of Springfield, will erect a<br />
moving picture theater on site now occupied by the Electric<br />
theater on Main street. New structure will be 60 by 120 feet,<br />
and cost $50,000.<br />
OKEENE, OKLA.—Majestic theater will occupy building formerly<br />
owned by A. A. Koup.<br />
CONDON, ORE.—W. D. Ingalls has sold the American theater<br />
to C. D. Cottmire.<br />
MEDFORD, ORE.—O. T. Bergner has taken over the lease<br />
on the Page and Star theater from George Hunt.<br />
BEAVER FALLS, PA.—Colonial theater on Seventh avenue<br />
has opened under the management of Samuel Goodman.<br />
BETHLEHEM, PA.—Kurtz Brothers are erecting a moving<br />
picture theater, with seating capacity for 1,700 people.<br />
BETHLEHEM, PA.—Extensive improvements are being<br />
made to the Orpheum theater on East Third street. The seating<br />
capacity will also be increased.<br />
BRUSHTON, PA.—Work is progressing on the new Brushton<br />
theater tor Home & Wolfe.<br />
CENTRALIA, PA.—Grand moving picture theater has been<br />
reopened by Walsh Brothers.<br />
EASTON, PA.—Wilmer & Vincent are considering the establishment<br />
of a moving picture theater on North Third street.<br />
PHILADELPHIA, PA.—Alexander Chambley has the contract<br />
to erect theater at Queen Lane and Schuyler street for the<br />
Queen Lane Theater Company.<br />
READING, PA.—Orpheum theater, which is being remodeled,<br />
will be conducted under new management.<br />
SHAMOKIN, PA.—Higgins theater is being erected at the<br />
corner of Independence and Anthracite streets. It will have<br />
seating capacity for 1,200 people.<br />
YORK, PA.—Jackson is the name of a new moving picture<br />
house opened here.<br />
BARRINGTON, R. I.—Town authorities have plans by Stone,<br />
Carpenter & Sheldon, Industrial Trust building, Providence,<br />
R. I., for interior alterations to town hall, to cost $2,500.<br />
BROOKINGS, S. D.—Pleasant Hour theater is again being<br />
operated by John L. Murphy.<br />
PLAINVIEW, TEX.—W. H. Coon of Amarillo. Texas, has<br />
postponed for the present his plans to erect moving picture<br />
theater.<br />
SAN ANTONIO, TEX.—Interstate Amusement Company will<br />
erect a theater having seating capacity for 2,800 at Camp<br />
Travis.<br />
WACO, TEX.—<strong>Moving</strong> picture theater is being erected for<br />
L. M. Moss and A. Levy, with seating capacity for 450.<br />
OGDEN, UTAH.—New Utah theater has opened under the<br />
management of A. J. Fhyn.<br />
MARTINSVILLE, VA.—Hamilton theater, care H. Hamilton,<br />
has plans by Heard & Cardwell, Arcade building, Danville, Va.,<br />
for alterations and a rear addition to cost $3,000.<br />
PETERSBURG, VA.—Atlantic Coast Realty Company will<br />
erect a one-story moving picture theater, 70 by 100 feet.<br />
PETERSBURG, VA.—J. W. Aikinson & Company, Richmond,<br />
have the contract to erect a two-story fireproof theater and<br />
office building, 50 by 136 feet, for the Century Amusement<br />
Company.<br />
LOGAN, W. VA.—Frank Middleburg has plans by C. C. and<br />
E. A. Weber, Citizens' building, Cincinnati, O., for a three-story<br />
moving picture theater, 44x100 feet, to cost $35,000.<br />
ANACORTES. WASH.—E. A. Abott has sold the Empire theater<br />
to the Dodges. N. F. Haas will be manager.<br />
HOQUIAM, WASH.—H. Newman, of the Arcade theater, has<br />
purchased the Liberty theater from Jack Kauffman.<br />
1LWACO, WASH.—<strong>Moving</strong> picture theater, 30 by 100 feet,<br />
will be erected for E. R. Saunders.<br />
SEATTLE, WASH.—Little theater, at 416 Pike street, owned<br />
by John Hamrick, has opened under the personal supervision<br />
of the owner.<br />
TACOMA. WASH.—Peter David has leased the Liberty theater<br />
from L. P. Young.<br />
TACOMA, WASH.—Dawson & Dahlberg have the contract<br />
to erect a theater at the corner of South Ninth and Market<br />
streets for John S. Baker and H. F. Moore.<br />
DARLINGTON, WIS.—E. H. Rodham will soon start work rebuilding<br />
opera house destroyed by fire. Structure will be<br />
two stories high, and measure 44 by 120 feet.<br />
DENMARK, WIS.—<strong>Moving</strong> picture theater will be erected<br />
here by Hendrickson Brothers.<br />
FENNIMORE, WIS.—Peter Boebel, of Boscobel, has purchased<br />
a moving picture business here.<br />
GRAND RAPIDS', WIS.—Palace theater is now under the<br />
management of J. P. Gruwell and Otto Rupnow, of Monroe.<br />
HARTFORD. WIS.—Opera house conducted by Leach &<br />
Christenson is being remodeled.<br />
LIVINGSTON, WIS.—Frank Parke Blanchard has purchased<br />
the entire holdings of the Coker Entertainment Company. It<br />
will hereafter be known as the Parke Theater Company.<br />
MILWAUKEE, WIS.—C. C. Perry of Minneapolis has been<br />
appointed manager of the Strand theater.<br />
NEW LONDON, WIS.—Dr. G. T. Dawley, C. M. Jelleff, and<br />
E. D. Darling are the new owners of the opera house.<br />
PARK FALLS, WIS.—Rex theater, owned by S. J. Keffe, and<br />
the Savoy, owned by G. W. Twiner, have merged. Both men<br />
will hereafter be identified with the Rex.<br />
PHILLIPS, WIS.—Idle Hour theater will reopen under the<br />
management of Mr. Rice.<br />
RACINE, WIS.—Work has been started on a one-story addition,<br />
20x42 feet, to the theater of Ernest Klinkert, 826 Washington<br />
avenue.<br />
SCHLEISINGERVILLE, WIS.—Majestic theater has opened<br />
in the Central Hotel building.<br />
WINTER, WIS.—Thomas Pomerlo's building has been rented<br />
for a moving picture theater.<br />
COWLEY, WYO.—Lloyd and Frank Taggart have awarded<br />
the contract for theater to be erected on Main street.<br />
