TAXATION SERVICES<br />
Rider Levett Bucknall has a specialist Taxation Services division<br />
that provides capital allowances and other tax planning advice<br />
for property transactions across all business sectors.<br />
At Rider Levett Bucknall we understand how we can add value<br />
to your project by maximising the tax savings available. We<br />
have a proven track record of delivering robust claims and our<br />
excellent working relationship with HM Revenue & Customs<br />
(HMRC) means we can swiftly agree claims without the need<br />
for protracted negotiations.<br />
Our services range from tax planning advice at the inception<br />
of projects, through to the preparation of detailed reports,<br />
claims and elections, and any negotiations with HM Revenue<br />
& Customs (HMRC). We offer bespoke tax systems to meet<br />
each clients’ requirements, which provides a tailored solution<br />
to optimise tax savings.<br />
The Taxation Services we currently provide are summarised<br />

Tax Planning Services<br />
Through detailed reviews at design stage, Rider Levett<br />
Bucknall Taxation Services can establish capital allowances<br />
entitlement and identify opportunities to optimise tax savings<br />
and maximise first year tax reliefs. We will manage and audit<br />
this process from inception to completion through to claim<br />
submission and settlement with HMRC, therefore providing<br />
our clients with an increased overall tax saving as well as<br />
enhanced first year tax savings.<br />
Construction Services<br />
Involvement at preliminary stages is essential in optimising tax<br />
relief. Rider Levett Bucknall Taxation Services estimate that<br />
through early proactive advice, the level of capital allowances<br />
available in a development may be increased by as much<br />
as 15%. We will undertake detailed review and analysis<br />
of the available construction information, together with a<br />
comprehensive site survey to identify and record all qualifying<br />
assets. We will prepare and submit a fully disclosed claim,<br />
which is in a format HMRC are familiar with and obviates the<br />
need for common queries.<br />

We undertake due diligence on property acquisitions and<br />
disposals, including dilapidations, for our clients. For property<br />
acquisitions we establish entitlement through a comprehensive<br />
review of the legal information as well as undertaking a<br />
detailed site survey to identify and maximise all qualifying<br />
