Transition joints for polymeric insulated to paper insulated cables<br />

Design of joints<br />
The paper cable is transformed to a quasi<br />
polymeric insulated cable with heatshrinkable<br />
oil resistive tubings and a<br />
breakout. The connectors are insulated<br />
and sealed with adhesive coated heat<br />
shrinkable tubing. The outer protection<br />
and sealing is performed by heatshrinkable<br />
tubing.<br />

Joints including connectors<br />
The kit includes a solderless earth and<br />
neutral connection system for lead or<br />
aluminium sheaths.<br />
Joints without connerctors<br />
In case of 3-core cables, a separate earth<br />
lead has to be soldered to the metal<br />
sheath (not provided within the kit).<br />
