Fr<strong>an</strong>cis Paget, Bishop <strong>of</strong> Oxford who was the second son <strong>of</strong> Sir James Paget, Bt., Serje<strong>an</strong>t Surgeon to HM Queen Victoria. Born 1886. Bishop <strong>of</strong> Southern Rhodesia from 1925 to 1952, Bishop <strong>of</strong> Mashonal<strong>an</strong>d from 1952, Archbishop <strong>of</strong> Central Africa from 1955 to 1957. Chaplain General to S. Rhodesi<strong>an</strong> Forces from 1925. Retired 1957. Born 15/10/1854, married 2/1/1877 Lucy Annie Emily (d. 15/4/1927) younger daughter <strong>of</strong> the late Richard Gardner, MP, <strong>an</strong>d died 25/10/1913 leaving issue. 4th son <strong>of</strong> Alfred Henry Paget who was the 5th son <strong>of</strong> Henry William Paget, 2nd Earl <strong>of</strong> Uxbridge <strong>an</strong>d 1st Marquess <strong>of</strong> Anglesey. He married 2ndly, 29/9/1945, Mary Margaret, widow <strong>of</strong> Lt.Carmichael <strong>an</strong>d only daughter <strong>of</strong> the late R.H. Mackay <strong>of</strong> London.
