Arthur Reginald Tonge. Born 1870, son <strong>of</strong> S.H. Tonge (d. 1895) by his wife Sophia,<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> John Wallis <strong>of</strong> Warley, Halifax. Joined the BSAP in 1894 <strong>an</strong>d served in the<br />
Matabele Campaign <strong>an</strong>d the Jameson Raid. Later became Registrar <strong>of</strong> Deeds <strong>an</strong>d<br />
Comp<strong>an</strong>ies in Bulawayo.<br />
