Born 24/8/1875, married, 6/3/1915, Olive Grace, youngest daughter <strong>of</strong> the late John Frederick Starkey, JP, DL, <strong>of</strong> Bodicote House, B<strong>an</strong>bury, Oxfordshire <strong>an</strong>d had issue. 2nd son <strong>of</strong> Henry Leslie Pepys who was the 3rd son <strong>of</strong> Charles Christopher Pepys, 1st Earl <strong>of</strong> Cottenham. (Samuel Pepys, the diarist, was a member <strong>of</strong> this family). Sable, on a bend Or between two nags' heads erased argent three fleurs-de-lis <strong>of</strong> the field. Great-great-gr<strong>an</strong>dson <strong>of</strong> Sir Pigott William Piers, 5th Baronet. Born 30/11/1905, married 18/6/1935, Ursula Mary Bence, daughter <strong>of</strong> the Rev. George Alfred Charles Smith-Cr<strong>an</strong>moor, Rector <strong>of</strong> Baldock, co. Hertford <strong>an</strong>d had issue. Sixth son <strong>of</strong> John Richard Pine-C<strong>of</strong>fin <strong>of</strong> Portledge, Devon. He married 2ndly, 22/6/1915, Sybil Mary, only daughter <strong>of</strong> the late Major-General Fr<strong>an</strong>cis Hugh Plowden, MC. Killed in action 23/9/1919.
