Born 1879, 4th son <strong>of</strong> Henry Mallet Veale <strong>of</strong> Passaford, Devon. Also his niece, Gladys. Anne, daughter <strong>of</strong> his elder brother Henry Malet -Veale, who married Frederick George Brooks, former Master <strong>an</strong>d Registrar <strong>of</strong> the High Court, Rhodesia. (NB. It appears that not all members <strong>of</strong> this family used the hyphenated surname <strong>of</strong> MALET-VEALE <strong>an</strong>d that the name <strong>of</strong> Malet is variously spelt) Argent, on a bend between two escallops azure as m<strong>an</strong>y calves pass<strong>an</strong>t Or. Born 1847, married 1898, Efa Florence (Coddenham, Ipswich) eldest daughter <strong>of</strong> the late Major Phillipps <strong>of</strong> Barham Hall, Ipswich. Died 1907, leaving issue. Argent, two bars gules, on a c<strong>an</strong>ton azure <strong>an</strong> <strong>an</strong>chor erect, the sh<strong>an</strong>k encircled by a naval crown, Or. (FDAF) MASPERO I<strong>an</strong> Mackenzie Maspero <strong>of</strong> Salisbury (Harare). Sometime alternate member <strong>of</strong> the State Heraldry Committee. Argent, a lion ramp<strong>an</strong>t gules charged on the shoulder with a cross-crosslet fitchy <strong>of</strong> the first <strong>an</strong>d in chief two hurts each charged with a stag's head caboshed Or, on a bordure <strong>of</strong> the last fimbriated on the inner edge azure eight torteaux each charged with a mullet gold. Born 26/2/1864, married, 28/9/1910, Sarah Adelaide (d. 18/6/1922) daughter <strong>of</strong> Robert Burt, <strong>of</strong> Vicar's Moor, Winchmore Hill <strong>an</strong>d died 8/11/1946 having had issue. Greatgr<strong>an</strong>dson <strong>of</strong> Cornwallis Maude, 1st Viscount Hawarden.
