As hold's a lion conqu'ring all,
By virtue of his highland plaidie.

From Inverness to Aberdeen,
Where he found their ships just and ready,
To carry him to Edinburgh,
For to devour him in's highland plaidie.

East Lothian was his first land ready ;

He wou'd devour him in's highland plaidie.

A parcel of Scots highlanders,
