This Year I made the last Payment for serving the Cure <strong>of</strong><br />

Whitstable, during the Inability <strong>of</strong> Mr Patten. That cost me above 76 11<br />

besides 63-00-0 given him towds his Support.<br />

I also made a Present <strong>of</strong> 20^ to Mr Waterhouse, vicar <strong>of</strong> Hollingbourn.<br />

I began also, this year or last, to give 10 Guineas yearly to the<br />

Protestant College <strong>of</strong> Debritzen in Hungary.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Vestry Clerk <strong>of</strong> St James's being killed by a Fall <strong>of</strong> a House, I<br />

gave 20* 1 to his Family, & design to add to it.<br />

I gave likewise this Year 500 1 * towards building a Chapel in Lambeth<br />

Parish, which is now building at Stockwell.<br />

This Year I married Mr Henry Talbots Daughter to Capt Cornwall<br />

in Lambeth Chapel, & paid 14 Guineas for the Fees <strong>of</strong> a Special<br />

Licence.<br />

In April this Year died my Nephew John Frost: to whom I had given<br />

at different times 650* 1 or more, besides Preferment. I also gave my<br />

sister, his Mother, in all at least 500 11 . And to my Nephew Thomas Frost<br />

2300^. In all 3450 1 *. I have given my Nephew George Seeker & his Wife,<br />

on & since their marriage, above 1260 H .<br />

FOLIO 64 I gave the Vicarage <strong>of</strong> Croydon this Summer to Mr<br />

1765-66 Apthorpe.<br />

I gave Mr Peters <strong>of</strong> Philadelphia for the Germans in<br />

Pennsylvania, this Year, 20 Guineas.<br />

I made Dr Ford a Present <strong>of</strong> a Silver Bread Basket, which cost near<br />

16 Guineas.<br />

I sent to Mr Price, a Clergyman at Lowest<strong>of</strong>t, formerly a Dissenting<br />

Minister, 20 11 : & to Dr Lind, once my Curate, 20 n .<br />

I gave Mrs Duplan, widow <strong>of</strong> an Agent for the French Protestants,<br />

20 H .<br />

And to Mr Lye, towds publishing his Saxon Dictionary, 50 11 .<br />

Harbledown 20 Guineas. And towds the repair <strong>of</strong> Littlebourn Church in<br />

Kent 50 11 . I also gave the Vicarage <strong>of</strong> Bethersden to Mr Kent <strong>of</strong> Merton<br />

Coll. bee. I had nominated a Person not <strong>of</strong> that College to Elham, for<br />

want <strong>of</strong> due Information abt the Equity <strong>of</strong> the Case. See the Papers. I
