On January 21, 1997, the Fort Myers City Council approved the Development Order for the City's portion <strong>of</strong> the Gateway Community. A portion <strong>of</strong> the project, within the City <strong>of</strong> Fort<br />
Myers, will split <strong>of</strong>f as the new Sun City Fort Myers DRI (ID #166). On November 5, 2001, the City <strong>of</strong> Fort Myers approved an NOPC (Resolution 2001-62) removing 1,105.06 acres<br />
from the DRI, which will become the Colonial Golf and Country Club PUD.<br />
