Lithuanian higher technologies companies,
joined into Photo Electricity Technologies and
Business Association, are planning to use a
unique condition in world market and start to develop
Photo electricity technologies, which are especially
perspective – solar energetics products industry branch.
Currently, even 5 companies in Lithuania are planning to
produce solar elements.
Photo Electricity and Business Association consists
of such companies: “Precizika-MET SC“, “Precizika
Metrology“, “Modernios E-Technologijos“, “ViaSolis“,
“BOD Group“, “Baltic Solar Energy“, “Baltic Solar
Solutions“, “Saulės energija“, “Šiaurės miestelis“,
PI “Perspektyvių technologijų taikymo institutas“,
“Europarama“, “Telebaltikos eksportas ir importas“ and
others.
“These investments – the beginning of all sectors,
which, I believe, will grow to serious industry, the prop of
Lithuania’s growth. It is counted that in the sector of value
added clean technologies there are created 7 times more
than in traditional industry. I hope that this investment
will become a great example how higher technologies
become a trivial round of Lithuanian industry”, - said
Dainius Kreivys, minister of economy.
According to Prof. Ramutis Petrikis, president of
association, world’s scientists have investigated that solar
energetics technologies will be the very fast developing
sphere in the nearest 20 years and those countries, which
will use the possibility and start to produce solar elements
and solar modules in time, will get the ability to enter
the markets, having big potential, export their products
and become an integral part of world solar energetics
industry.
Today, the company “Precizika-MET SC“ opens the
first solar elements’ factory in Lithuania. This year it is
planned to start equipping solar modules production line
next to the opening workshop. The company has foreseen
to largely expand the production of solar elements and
modules and to supply solar elements of up to 100 MW
power to world markets.

companies – “Via Solis“, “BOD Group“, “Baltic Solar
Energy“, “Baltic Solar Solutions“, “MG AB Precizika“

The Start of Solar Exegetics’ Industry is Declared in Lithuania
and “TB eksportas importas“ – have already prepared
the projects for the coming of production lines and are
planning to instil the production lines of silicon, solar
elements and solar modules.
The plans of all these companies are related with the
opening export markets. In 2010-2012, the investments
in the rise of the new industry branch will reach 150-
200 million Litas. The Government maintains the rise
of this direction and businessmen invest with the help of
European Union funds. It is predicted that in 2016-2018,
the turnover of photo electricity technologies’ cluster will
reach 1,6 milliard Litas in Lithuania.
“The cluster of photo electricity technologies has
foreseen the substantial outbreak in the sphere of higher
technologies – the establishment of production sector of
solar elements, their modules and silicon in Lithuania.
The potential of scientists, famous electronics specialists,
initiatives of private science and obvious interest of
business to develop this branch, based on their investments
in this new industry branch condition the success. In order
to entrench this perspective in Lithuania, we have joined
into the association of solar energy technologies and
business companies,” – states Prof. Algirdas Galdikas, the
representative of photo electricity technologies cluster.
During the next year, the production of silicon solar
elements modules in the country will not only help to
meet the requirements of world solar energetics, but to
create new work places and to prompt technological
progress in Lithuania as well. Companies’ association of
this new industry branch will vastly promote the increase
of country’s export.
It is planned that till 2016-2018, there would be created
500 new work places, invested up to 200 million Litas,
and the part of this branch in Lithuania’s export portfolio
will make 1,5 milliard Litas.
Today, the biggest solar power-stations, using silicon
solar elements, work in USA and Spain, but there are
already announced about the projects in China, Inner
Mongol steppes and India, Gujarat state, which exceed
their power several times. The development of export
in the sphere of new technologies – recipe, offered
by initiators of elements and modules, used for solar
energetic, industry in Lithuania.
