Mass for Friday. We see by the Introit that the<br />

Church never ceases to remind us of the crossing of<br />

the Red Sea, and of the mighty power of the waters<br />

for the deliverance of the children of Israel. We<br />

must glorify our deliverer to whom we owe the light,<br />

and whose Cross forms His throne of glory (GRADUAL<br />

and ALLELUIA). Like the ancient Israelites, let us<br />

celebrate the happy anniversary of the transit from<br />

death to life (OFFERTORY). To the apostles, and after<br />

them to the Church, has been given the mission of extend<br />

ing this blessing to all the nations of the earth (COM<br />

MUNION),
