3.1.5 Logging into the Tivoli Netcool Performance Flow Analyzer server The user interface of Tivoli Netcool Performance Flow Analyzer is Web-based and requires a Web browser (for example, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft® Internet Explorer Version 7 or 8). Enable cookies and Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) support. Note: Internet Explorer does not natively support SVG. If you chose Internet Explorer, install the Adobe ® SVG 6 plug-in from http://www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install/beta.html. Internet Explorer Version 6 is not supported. The installation procedure requires that the Apache2 Web server is installed and running on the system. A configuration file is installed in the Apache2 configuration directory: RHEL, SLES: /etc/httpd/conf.d Solaris: /etc/apache2/httpd.conf The configuration of the Web server is reloaded automatically during installation. If the Web server is not running during installation, it has to be started manually. To start apache2 on RHEL, follow this command: /etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd start Log into the Tivoli Netcool Performance Flow Analyzer server with flow-analyzer administrator credentials (see sections 3.1.2 and 3.1.5) by using the following URL: http:///tnpfa/ The name or IP address of the host on which Tivoli Netcool Performance Flow Analyzer is installed must be used instead of localhost in the URL.
