4.4 User management
To generate a new user, click Configuration > User Management > New user. Figure 4-10 shows the
fields to be entered for account generation. The user name must not contain special characters. Users
can be given normal user permissions with specific access to selected sites or root permissions.
To view the user profile, click Configuration > User Profile > User Profile Information (see Figure
4-12 ). Users with root or site administrator rights can also create and edit other user accounts.
Figure 4-13 and Figure 4-10 show the configuration in the user interface.

When the Firefox password manager is enabled, users with basic privileges will be asked to "confirm
which user you are changing the password for ". The cancel and close options on the
Confirm Password Change dialogue box do not affect Tivoli Netcool Performance Flow Analyzer
password management. The Tivoli Netcool Performance Flow Analyzer system password is updated
regardless of any action taken.
