Nagaland‟s total working population as a percentage of total population is low, at 43 per cent. About 83<br />
per cent of these workers are main workers and the remaining are marginal workers. Most of the workers<br />
are concentrated in Mon, Mokokchung, Dimapur and Kohima districts, together accounting for 52 per<br />
cent of total workers in the State.<br />

Of the total workers in the State, 65 per cent are cultivators, followed by 3 per cent agricultural labourers,<br />
3 per cent in household industries and remaining at 29 per cent are other workers.<br />
