Based on this, potential exists for scientific classification and commercial use. Potential • Nagaland has a rich diversity of medicinal and aromatic plants. The State Government in association with School of Agriculture, Medzhiphema, near Dimapur, has so far identified 600 species of such plants. • Some of the key medicinal plants in Nagaland are: Gensing, Yew, Agar, Tulsi, Bel, Sarpgandha, Amla, Chiratha, Rudrakshaetc. 73
