ARCH Project Program Coordinator<br />
• Program coordinator providing assistance to the<br />
principal investigator through planning, organizing,<br />
scheduling, and facilitating exploratory focus groups in<br />
five rural counties of north Florida and south Georgia<br />
targeting senior caregivers caring for family members<br />
or loved ones with Alzheimer’s Disease or related<br />
dementia and Parkinson’s disease.<br />
• Responsible for establishing community links and<br />
Memorandums of Understanding as community liaison<br />
between the ARCH Project and leaders in multiple rural<br />
communities including African American, Hispanic, and<br />
non-Hispanic white communities with particular focus<br />
targeting traditionally medically underserved<br />
communities (MUC).<br />
• Responsible for data collection, transcription and formal<br />
data entry and database maintenance as applicable to<br />
all focus group and workshop participants. Responsible<br />
for tracking CME/CEU registrants and for screening<br />
potential program applicants into either the control<br />
group or the randomized clinical experimental group.<br />
• Directly responsible for organizing strategic planning<br />
meetings with federal and state grant personnel to<br />
plan, organize, and implement grant short and longterm<br />
objectives. Arrange schedules and coordinate<br />
travel for faculty and guest speakers attending<br />
workshops on campus. Facilitated all phases of<br />
coordinated rural outreach, education, and professional<br />
workshops to provide ongoing training to caregivers<br />
and professionals working with Alzheimer’s disease,<br />
and caregiver stress. Conduct workshops on research<br />
updates relating current best practices on Alzheimer’s<br />
disease pharmacology and optional best practices for<br />
possible treatment modalities.<br />
• Recruit regional and national faculty and guest<br />
speakers to participate in interdisciplinary training<br />
workshops.<br />
• Obtain CME/CEU approval and provider status for<br />
workshop presentations and work with advertisers and<br />
sponsors to promote all ARCH related events in the<br />
rural media and faith based communities in our rural<br />
catchment area of south Georgia, south Alabama, and<br />
north Florida.<br />
