RE-ADMISSION POLICY
After waiting a period of 60 scheduled school days, students may apply to be re-admitted to the
institution after being dismissed. Such students will be enrolled on a probationary status with
satisfactory progress considered same as date of leave or termination. With respect to financial
aid, a student must complete a period of two months with at least an 80% average grade for the
period before financial aid award will be made. This procedure applies only to dismissals caused
by lack of satisfactory progress and will never be granted more than one. It does not apply to
voluntary withdrawals. Re-entering students will be charged at the current tuition rates. Amount
paid during their first period of enrollment will be credited to their accounts. If a student reenters
within 12 months of the withdrawal, the registration will be waived.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
The student will have:
1. Completed all required clock hours in the curriculum;
2. Attended school for five months and have accumulated 600-clock hours instruction or
qualified for a reduction in hours through documented work experience;
3. Met the absence and grade average minimums;
To attest the satisfactory completion of the course the student will receive a personalized
diploma from Merrell University of Beauty Arts and Science.
COMPLETION TIME
Maximum completion time frame is 30 weeks from the date of enrollment. This is based on 67-_
% attendance; however, if the school contract is not completed within 900 clock hours the
student may continue his/her schooling toward a certificate, but must pay an additional hourly
fee. Such fee is the same hourly rate as that charged on the student contract.
A leave of absence will extend the student’s contract period and maximum time frame by the
same number of days in the leave of absence. Course in completes repetitions and non-remedial
courses have no effect upon the University’s satisfactory progress standards.
