APPEAL PROCESS
Any student placed on probation has the right to appeal his/her probation charges. Guidelines for
the appeal process will be as follows:
1. The appeal must be in writing, signed by the student, and given to the Director of
Financial Aid.
2. The appeal must be made within five scheduled school days following date of probation.
3. The written appeal must include:
a. Circumstances causing tardiness and absenteeism;
b. Circumstances and scholastic reasons for low grades; and
c. Documentation of corrective measures.
The Director of Financial Aid will review the written appeal document and respond to the
student within ten scheduled school days. Response will be in writing, and it will inform student
whether the appeal has been approved or denied. The Director of Financial Aid may, after a
careful and thorough research of the appeal circumstances along with research of the student’s
history, determine that the student is making satisfactory process towards his/her certificate,
despite the failure to conform within the time frame or minimum grade averages.
RE-ADMISSION POLICY
After waiting a period of 60 scheduled school days, students may apply to be re-admitted to the
institution after being dismissed. Such students will be enrolled on a probationary status with
satisfactory progress considered same as date of leave or termination. With respect to financial
aid, a student must complete a period of two months with at least an 80% average grade for the
period before financial aid award will be made. This procedure applies only to dismissals caused
by lack of satisfactory progress and will never be granted more than one. It does not apply to
voluntary withdrawals. Re-entering students will be charged at the current tuition rates. Amount
paid during their first period of enrollment will be credited to their accounts. If a student reenters
within 12 months of the withdrawal, the registration will be waived.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Esthetics students must complete 1,200 clock hours of training. These hours must also be
completed to sit for the State Board of Cosmetology examination. All esthetics students must
complete the predetermined number of services. Refer to example of student progress report for
minimum number of services required to graduate. Services are performed on clinic clients,
other students, or mannequins. All students must take and pass a school final examination with a
grade of 80% or higher. A diploma is awarded upon completion of the course.
