TUITION AND FEES<br />

Tuition and fees for the complete full-time manicuring course is $2,050. A registration fee of<br />

$150 will be paid at the time the enrollment agreement is signed, with the balance being paid in<br />

one of the following manners:<br />

1. Cash payment in full at the commencement of classes; or<br />

2. Tuition paid through the <strong>University</strong>’s financial program requires a registration fee of<br />

$150. The remainder of tuition is to be paid in three installments of $683 on the first<br />

Wednesday of each month.<br />

The tuition fee will cover 400 clock hours of instruction, which is to be completed by the student<br />

within five months from the date classes begin. Tuition fee includes the cost of textbooks, two<br />

<strong>Merrell</strong> <strong>University</strong> logo shirts, a student kit, and two artificial hands, which are required for the<br />

state examination. The student kits are the property of the student, but must remain at the<br />

<strong>University</strong> until the student has graduated. Additional costs are limited to writing instruments<br />

and note pads. Sculptured nail supplies are not included in the cost of books and supplies. They<br />

are made available to the student upon payment of a fee when the sculptured nail class is offered.<br />

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY<br />

Any applicant not accepted by <strong>Merrell</strong> <strong>University</strong> will be entitled to a refund of all monies paid.<br />

If a student (or in the case of a student under legal age, his/ parent or guardian) cancels his/her<br />

enrollment and demands his money back, in writing, within 3 business days of the signing of the<br />

Enrollment Agreement/, all monies collected by the school will be refunded. The postmark on<br />

the written notification will determine the cancellation date, or the date notification was<br />

delivered to the <strong>University</strong> Administrator/Owner.<br />

Prior to entering classes, if a student cancels his/her enrollment agreement after 3 business days<br />

following the signing the Enrollment Agreement/Contract, he/she will be entitled to a refund of<br />

all monies paid to the <strong>University</strong>, less the $150.00 registration fee.<br />

For any student attending the school for the first time, and using any Title IV program and whose<br />

withdrawal date is on or before the 50% point in time of the enrollment period, the institution<br />

will apply the statutory pro-rata refund. Pro-rata refund means a refund by the school of not less<br />

than that position of the tuition equal to the portion of the period of enrollment for which the<br />

student has been charged that remains on the withdrawal date, rounded downward to the nearest<br />

10% for that period, less any unpaid amount of a scheduled cash payment for the period of<br />

enrollment for which the student has been charged<br />

An administration fee, not to exceed $150.00 or 5% of the total institutional charges, whichever<br />

is less, will be excluded from the refund calculation. Examples of pro-rata calculations are<br />

available upon request.<br />
