• Information: 1666, Long Benn<strong>in</strong>gton, , L<strong>in</strong>colnshire, England. Eleanor was <strong>the</strong> daughter<br />

<strong>of</strong> Thomas Wright and his wife, Mary Whitlock, both <strong>of</strong> Long Benn<strong>in</strong>gton. We could<br />

not prove her parents marriage; however, <strong>the</strong>y were an immigrant family. Her fa<strong>the</strong>r<br />

made multiple trips to Virg<strong>in</strong>ia before br<strong>in</strong>g<strong>in</strong>g his family to America <strong>in</strong> 1669. Thomas<br />

also held property <strong>in</strong> Maryland where he was liv<strong>in</strong>g when his wife Mary and <strong>the</strong>ir only<br />

daughter, Eleanor, immigrated Her fa<strong>the</strong>r died <strong>in</strong>testate Rappahannock County Virg<strong>in</strong>ia<br />

before 1680, and we could not prove <strong>the</strong> man her mo<strong>the</strong>r remarried. Eleanor had a<br />

much younger bro<strong>the</strong>r James born about <strong>the</strong> time her fa<strong>the</strong>r died <strong>who</strong> married an<br />

Eleanor - all <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir children were born and christened <strong>in</strong> Farnham Parish <strong>of</strong> Richmond<br />

County. So far as we could prove Eleanor's parents did not have a daughter named<br />

Mary.<br />

First <strong>of</strong> all I recommend my Soul to God & my Body to <strong>the</strong> dust and my Estate I<br />

dispose <strong>of</strong> as follows:<br />

That is to say, I give and Bequeath all my Estate, after-Debts and funeral Charges<br />

defrayed, to be Equally divided between my Son Thomas <strong>Bryan</strong> and my Daughter Mary<br />

<strong>Bryan</strong> and I do hereby Constitute &c my said Daughter Mary Sole Executrix <strong>of</strong> this my<br />

Last Will &c Revok<strong>in</strong>g &c all o<strong>the</strong>r &c Confirm<strong>in</strong>g &c this to be my Last Will<br />
