concern<strong>in</strong>g sale <strong>of</strong> slaves <strong>of</strong> his fa<strong>the</strong>r <strong>in</strong> 1844, stated he was <strong>the</strong> half bro<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong><br />

Rebecca <strong>Bryan</strong> that married Daniel Boone.<br />
