Sarah was the daughter of Andrew Burchett of Nansemond County Virginia. We could not prove her mother. His head right was claimed by Richard Ewell of Westmoreland, Northampton and Accomack Counties Virginia and used it for a patent dated July 15, 1657 in Northumberland County (see Cavaliers & Pioneers Vol., I, pg 352). It is quite possible Andrew married one of Richard's daughters; however, we have no proof. Her father died before 1684 when we first proved her head right claimed as Sarah Brooker, and evidently she was married to William Brooker before that date.
