This patent proves when Morgan <strong>Bryan</strong> IV moved out <strong>of</strong> his fa<strong>the</strong>r's house, and we was<br />

very recently married when this patent was obta<strong>in</strong>ed. 50 acres for self, and 50 acres for<br />

wife.<br />

Morgan married Mary Forbush, daughter <strong>of</strong> George Forbush and Olivia Fare, before<br />

10 Mar 1756 <strong>in</strong> Augusta County, Virg<strong>in</strong>ia. Mary was born <strong>in</strong> 1731 <strong>in</strong> Port Tobacco, Charles<br />

County, Maryland and died <strong>in</strong> 1794 <strong>in</strong> Fayette County, Kentucky at age 63.<br />

The child from this marriage was:<br />

90 M i. John <strong>Bryan</strong> was born <strong>in</strong> 1762 <strong>in</strong> Rowan County, North Carol<strong>in</strong>a and died<br />

before 1810 <strong>in</strong> Bladen County, North Carol<strong>in</strong>a.<br />

72. John <strong>Bryan</strong> (Morgan III 5 , Morgan II 4 , Morgan I (Capt.) 3 , <strong>William</strong> (Capt.) 2 , John<br />

Sr. (Capt.) 1 ) was born on 9 Apr 1730 <strong>in</strong> Frederick County, Virg<strong>in</strong>ia and died after 1797 <strong>in</strong> Rowan<br />

County, North Carol<strong>in</strong>a.<br />
