The red painted scabbard is not original to the keris. € 535 4.000 131 132 131 An Arab Jambiya Dagger with a plain I shaped rhino grib and a double edged c. 19 cm. rather light blade with a central rib. in a Mecca style, silver scabbard with an uprising scabbard tip. The Mecca style scabbard in heavy silver is decorated with silver filigree work and geometrical carvings. € 535 4.000 132 A very good quality Arab Jambiya dagger from Oman in the royal style known as Saidi with a 19 cm. long double edged blade with ther typical pronounced central rib. The hilt is made of Rhino horn all most completely covered with many small silver filigree pieces. The wooden scabbard is “L” shaped and covered with silver on the front and with leather on the back. The belt attachment is made of complicate arrangements of silver rings and twisted silver wire. ONLINE wEAPON AUCTIONS EvERy FOURTH TUESDAy OF THE MONTH AT www.BRUUN-RASMUSSEN.COM 133 A fine Indian 17/18th century Khanjarli dagger with its characterical strongly re-curving blade and wide lunette shaped pommel with a D-shaped guard. This multi-fullered blade is c. 25.5 cm. long and is inlayed with silver by the ricasso. The lunette shaped pommel and grips are made from four ivory sectors, riveted to the tang one with a glued crack. The wooden scabbard is wrapped in black velvet and has 2 fine silver mounts. The scabbard is cracked and the velvet is very fragile but the scabbards are quite rare and this is of good quality. € 1.050-1.300 8.000-10.000 13 13 A fine and interesting Ottoman shamsir for a child with a translucent horn grip and a c. 57 cm long slender blade marked with script on both sides in a good black leather scabbard with 3 fine silver mounts. A rare Ottoman sword. € 1.600 12.000 13 A finely overall carved wooden paddle. Oceanic. 19th/20th century. The blade and shaft is finely carved with small triangle cut patterns, the hilt of the padle is carved with eight human masks. Overall very fine patina.
