ONLINE wEAPON AUCTIONS EvERy FOURTH TUESDAy OF THE MONTH AT www.BRUUN-RASMUSSEN.COM 12 An extremely well made French copy of the famed suit of parade armour made by Eienne Delaune for the French King Henry II now in the Louvre in Paris. The complete armour in 16th century style is completely covered with raised design showing antique warriors in battle and resting with the winged goddess of victory over a trophy on the back plate. Some of the items are cast and some is hammered out and the parts are held together with bolts. It cannot be worn, but is a magnificent piece probably by the Lorraine master Antoine vechte (1799-1868). He must have had access to the original in order to make the fine castings, which follows the original in every detail.
