SUMMER LANGUAGE COURSES<br />

Your Scholarship in Europe 2008-2009<br />

These courses are organised by the Flemish Community and the Dutch Language Union (de<br />

Nederlandse Taalunie). They are taught at Hasselt (University of Hasselt) or at the University of<br />

Gent. The summer courses are intended for non-native Dutch speakers who wish to improve their<br />

knowledge of the Dutch language and culture for educational, professional or other reasons.<br />

Participants must be at least 18 years old and preferably no older than 35. Participants should<br />

have at least a basic command of Dutch.<br />

<strong>SCHOLARSHIP</strong>S FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS AND YOUNG RESEARCHERS/<br />

SCIENTISTS – RESEARCH GRANTS<br />

Research grants are awarded for all areas of study. Grants are awarded to post-graduate students,<br />

scientists and researchers. Research grants may last from 3 to 9 months. Candidates<br />

for grants are offi cially nominated by the Russian Academy of Sciences.<br />

<strong>SCHOLARSHIP</strong>S OF THE FRENCH COMMUNITY<br />

<strong>SCHOLARSHIP</strong>S FOR STUDENTS WORK<strong>IN</strong>G ON THEIR GRADUATION PAPERS AT<br />

THEIR HOME COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY (TO OBTA<strong>IN</strong> A BACHELORS OR MASTERS<br />

DEGREE)<br />

Scholarships are awarded in all areas of study. Scholarships are awarded to fourth- and fi fthgrade<br />

students with at least intermediate French/English and already working on their graduation<br />

papers.<br />

Specialisation scholarships may last from 3 to 10 months.<br />

SUMMER LANGUAGE COURSES<br />

Summer courses are organised for non-native French speakers who wish to improve their<br />

knowledge of the French language and culture for educational, professional or other reasons.<br />

These courses are mainly intended for future teachers of the French language.<br />

The courses are held in the city Mons.<br />

Candidates for these grants are selected by the Federal Agency for Education of the Russian<br />

Federation.
