BOURSES D’EXCELLENCE EIFFEL (EIFFEL <strong>SCHOLARSHIP</strong>S FOR OUTSTAND<strong>IN</strong>G<br />

STUDENTS)<br />

These scholarships are intended for gifted foreign students who wish to pursue further<br />

studies in France in four core fi elds: engineering sciences; economics and management;<br />

law and political sciences; and public administration. To get a scholarship, you<br />

have to apply to the institution of your choice. If the institution agrees to enrol you, it<br />

should transmit your application to an agency in charge of Eiffel scholarship awards. An<br />

application form is available at: http://www.egide.asso.fr/eiffel Scholarships are granted<br />

at the beginning of the autumn and spring semesters. You can obtain information about<br />

application fi ling deadlines from the Scholarship Offi ce of the French Embassy in the<br />

Russian Federation.<br />

COPERNIC PROGRAMME<br />

The programme is intended for young economists and engineers from Eastern and<br />

Central Europe. Its aim is to promote studies of modern management techniques.<br />

The programme runs for 12 months, including seven months of studies at a French<br />

higher school (Grande Ecole) and a fi ve months’ period of practical training at an<br />

enterprise.<br />

Basic requirements:<br />

• An engineer’s or economist’s diploma at bachelor, specialist, or master level.<br />

• Have Russian citizenship and permanent residence in Russia.<br />

• Be no older than 30.<br />

• Be fl uent in French.<br />

• Persons who have received a scholarship from the French Government in the past do not<br />

qualify for this scholarship.<br />

Scholarship applications are accepted by the Scholarship Offi ce of the French Embassy in the<br />

Russian Federation until February 28 of each year.<br />

BOURSES DE L’ASSOCIATION LE PONT NEUF (<strong>SCHOLARSHIP</strong>S FROM THE PONT<br />

NEUF ASSOCIATION)<br />

The Pont Neuf Association grants scholarships under three core programmes:<br />

1. Philippe Habert scholarship (Bourse Philippe Habert) for political science studies. It is intended<br />

for international political science students at the Paris Institute of Political Studies<br />

(Cycle International d'Etudes Politiques, IEP de Paris, http://www.sciences-po.fr/daie/<br />

index_daie.htm).<br />

2. Scholarship for young doctors (Bourse Jeunes médecins). It is designed for medical<br />

students and young doctors who want to take a six-week-long internship at a<br />

Paris clinic. Scholarships are granted to students in their fi fth or sixth year at medi-<br />
