Peace movement protest against armament of East and West<br />
The Anti-war Museum displays photos, documents<br />
and objects from both World Wars, as well as information<br />
on current wars and conflicts, including a<br />
large world map and mo<strong>der</strong>n weaponry. An un<strong>der</strong>ground<br />
air-raid shelter lets you experience the oppressive<br />
atmosphere of night-time bombing.<br />

The oldest and largest public observatory in Germany,<br />
founded in 1896, contains exhibitions exploring<br />
the solar system, the dimensions of space and the<br />
history of the development of astronomy. It has the<br />
longest lens telescope in the world, a small planetarium<br />
and an astronomical museum.<br />
