In the Berlin Forest Museum the local eco-system
is presented and explained through large dioramas
and displays, including animal skulls and
pelts, birds’ nests, tree sections and pine cones.

Forest education tour through the museum
Expanding from a conventional forest museum, in
1991 the Waldmuseum became an »active museum«,
where visitors can pick up almost everything.
They can learn what a wild boar or fox pelt feels
like, or what a tawny owl or a spotted woodpecker
sound like. In the forest garden behind the house
evening tea and small snacks will be served.
8.00 pm–12.00 am
Night walk (in German)
Forest educators invite you to join a mysterious
night walk. The walk will include a moor, a lake
and a sandpit, ancient oak trees from the time of
Friedrich II and many different stories about the
forest.
