Genom Maraton-porten kommer först två förridare och efter dem sex ryttare ur svenska ridsportsorganisationer.

First through the Marathon gate come two outriders followed by six horsemen, representing Swedish Riding
Organizations, and carrying between them the Olympic Flag.

sida, där en hedersvakt ur Kungl.
Flottan skall ta emot flaggan.
På norra arkaden vajar samtliga deltagande
länders flaggor. Svenska
flaggor pryder invigningsdagen de tre

Having arrived at the north side of the
Stadium, the horsemen now hand over
the Olympic Flag to personnel of the
Royal Swedish Navy and the riders
remain as colour guard.
The flags of the participating nations
are flying from flag poles on the
northern arcade. During the Inaugural
Ceremony Swedish flags are hoisted
on the victors' flag poles. (Opposite)
