på svenska:<br />

»Jag förklarar härmed öppnade de ryttartävlingar i Stockholm<br />

år 1956 som utgöra en del av XVI. Olympiska Spelen<br />

i vår moderna tid.»<br />

His Majesty The King expressed <strong>the</strong> following words in<br />

Swedish:<br />

"I herewith declare <strong>the</strong> Equestrian Games in Stockholm in<br />

<strong>the</strong> year 1956 which form part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> XVIth Olympiad <strong>of</strong><br />

modern times opened and inaugurated."<br />
