To deploy the SMP Universal Agent using the Deploy Agent tab of the wizard on the application station 1. Open the SMP Universal application, and then click the Deploy Agent tab. The Deploy Agent screen appears. 2. Select one of the following: ○ Install VM Host SMP Agent—Select to specify the operating system on the virtual machine host. Then select Windows or Linux. ○ Install SMP Source Agent—This option for agent deployment is only supported on Windows operating systems. Deploying SMP Universal Agents 24
3. In the IP Address, User Name, and Password boxes, enter the credentials and then click Install Agent. The source server cannot have a blank password. 4. View the deployment status and result of the SMP Universal Agent. To deploy the SMP Universal Source Agent directly from the Migration Wizard on the application station 1. Open the SMP Universal application, and then click the Migration Wizard tab. The Migration Wizard overview screen appears. 2. Select the appropriate migration option, and then click Next. 3. In step 1 of the Migration Wizard, enter the Server Name or IP address of the source server, and then select Deploy Server Migration Pack Agent. 4.
