spines. Septa 12, very well developed, sometimes thickened. The outer ends. of septa sometimesbifurcate<br />

(note KLUNZINGER compared this species with Psammocora) and merge mto the mural dentlcles. The<br />

pali on the four pairs of lateral septa are well developed and often stand above the level of the columella<br />

s~e .<br />

X2 : 2- 35 and 3- 33 are massive though small coralla, nodular at the surface. The calIces are 1.5 to<br />

1.75 mm in diameter with highly thickened wall. The calyx has a funnel-shaped appearance. X2 : 3- 30 is<br />

a small encrustation, SO mm in diameter.<br />
