We have three specimens from Gu lf of Aqaba and one from Sanganeb Reef before us, which we refer<br />
to this species. All are globular with rounded corallites up to 10 mm in diameter and oval ones up to 8 x<br />
11 mm ; they are separated by intercorallite furrows_<br />

Rem a rk s: As we have poimed out already (PILLAI & SCHEER, 1976), wefollow VAUGHAN (1918)<br />
in rreating F. bululensis wirh F paliida. One of us (PILLAI, 1972) has shown that in a large suit of specimens<br />
a gradation from those with smaller corallites and less sepra (forma bululensis) to the typical form<br />
occurs.<br />
EHRENBERG's type of F. rotuloSll is No _ 737 in Berlin Museum, it is shown by MATTHAI, 1914,<br />
pI. 35, fig. l.<br />

By kindness of Dr. SCHUHMACHER we gor a specimen (EC 1386) from Aqaba, and we could examine<br />
another specimen from rhe same place, both identified by Dr. WI)SMAN-BEST as F. amicorum, and<br />
reported on in MERGNER & SCHUHMACHER (1981). We have in our collection another four specimens,<br />
which we pur to this species.<br />
All colonies are small and hemispherical, greatest diameter 80 mm _ Underside epithecate. Corallites<br />
exsert , rounded , on an average 9 mm in diameter. Budding not only intrarentaculariy, but occasionally<br />
also at rhe sides of the corallites. Septa rather rhin and of even heighr , 24 to 40 in number, average 29<br />
to 30, regularly dentate. 0 palis. Columella small, trabecular. Costae well developed, equal, strongly<br />
dentate or beaded.<br />

corum.
