Policy: All personal mobile telecommunication devices will be n the <strong>of</strong>f position during<br />

student fieldwork assignment hours.<br />

Purpose: A student’s full attention should be devoted to the fieldwork experience and<br />

clients served. Many sites already have a policy in place regarding use <strong>of</strong> personal mobile<br />

telecommunication devices.<br />

Procedure:<br />

1.0 Personal Telecommunication Devices should be in the <strong>of</strong>f, not silent, position and<br />

stored securely while engaged in on-site fieldwork experiences.<br />

2.0 Arrangements may be made with the fieldwork supervisor to request <strong>of</strong>fice staff or<br />

others to monitor the personal telecommunication device for expected or routine<br />

emergent notifications, i.e. child care issues.<br />

3.0 Site specific policy will prevail.
