Policy:<br />
Students are expected to attend all sessions <strong>of</strong> every class.<br />
Purpose:<br />
To ensure that students receive the maximum benefit from courses and pr<strong>of</strong>essional courtesy is<br />
maintained.<br />
Procedure:<br />
1.0 If at student is going to be late for class the following procedures are followed.<br />
1.1 If the student knows in advance that he/she will be late for class the student<br />
notifies the instructor before class.<br />
1.2 When a student arrives late for a class the student waits until the break to enter<br />
the class so as not to disturb the class.<br />
2.0 If a student is going to be absent for class the following procedures are followed.<br />
2.1 If the student knows in advance that he/she will be late for class, the student<br />
notifies the instructor before class.<br />
2.1.1 If the student is absent because <strong>of</strong> an emergency, he/she notifies the<br />
instructor <strong>of</strong> the reason for the absence as soon as possible.<br />
3.0 The student is responsible to obtain all information missed due to tardiness or absence.<br />
3.1 If the syllabi specifies meeting with the instructor following absences or tardiness<br />
the student must comply.
