Purpose of the Handbook
This handbook provides necessary information regarding policies and procedures
adopted by the GSU Occupational Therapy Department. Students are accountable and
responsible for the information contained in the handbook.
The purpose of this student handbook is to serve as a resource for both students and
faculty. The handbook may be subject to change, determined by circumstances that
occur throughout the year. Students will be notified of any changes as they occur, and
are responsible for complying with any revised guidelines.
Students are also responsible for maintaining access and/or downloading the handbook
updates via the GSU web page www.govst.edu/mot. This handbook will be used as a
reference throughout the course of study, until graduation.
The Governors State University Catalog will provide you with specific information
regarding your program of study, university academic requirements and University
services available to each of you.
You will find the Governors State University Student Handbook a helpful resource
designed to enhance the GSU Catalog by providing information regarding Department
specific and university-wide standards, policies, and procedures.
