Uses of The Competencies<br />
The Competencies is the foundation for addiction counseling coursework at the University of<br />
Nevada–Reno <strong>and</strong> the University of Nevada–Las Vegas. Both institutions offer an undergraduate<br />
minor <strong>and</strong> a graduate emphasis in addiction counseling with a number of courses developed<br />
directly from The Competencies. In addition, all instructors <strong>and</strong> students in these counseling<br />
programs are provided copies of the publication.<br />
