At this process, two different lighting approaches, such as Lightmap and Diffusemap, are applied to the relevant 3D model considering data related to daylight specifications of Antalya region. Realtime multi-textured images are thus obtained. Examples of the Diffusemap and Lightmap and real time, multi-texturing situation of Aspendos Theater is given at the Figure 11. 50

Furthermore, new rendering techniques (HDR- High Dynamic Range- and IBL -Image Based Lighting-) are also investigated for the light map and diffuse map simulations and a new software program is developed (Fig. 12). With this software, it is possible to expose/present the lighting effect of the direct sunlight to the virtual model for a definite hour and day. Thereby, it is possible to see in real-time; - Different perceived colors of materials (color shifts occurred on the surfaces dependent on the changes at the natural light source spectrum) - Different shadow properties occurred dependent on the direction properties (directional and diffuse) of the daylight and in this context different textured images. HDR (High Dynamic Range) and IBL (Image Based Lighting) (MIRALab - University of Geneva) [13]. 5 CONCLUSION Conservation of the cultural heritage concisely covers all sorts of efforts to protect and transfer the historical document to future, in its all authenticity. Considered from this perspective, determination of the color, which is mostly neglected before the conservation and restoration applications, will provide documentation of the surface materials’ colors without any inaccuracy. It also gives the possibility of choosing new materials to be used or designed at future restoration applications to get a reliable future intervention. Furthermore, when a virtual reconstruction/visual simulation of recent situation is considered, color properties of the materials and light sources used at the buildings should give the most real image as much as possible. In consequence of the items mentioned above, one can be affirmed that “color records” should take place within the context of documentation works of the architectural heritage. At the ERATO Project, color specifications of the recent status of Aspendos and Jerash Theaters and Aphrodisias Odeon were recorded. These records were inserted to the 3D models of Aspendos Theater and Aphrodisias Odeon whereby virtual restitution and simulation of acoustical environment have been obtained. By this way, more realistic images were created. Records of surface materials’ colors of the ERATO buildings in a virtual environment set a pattern from the point of determining and transferring its recent conditions into the future in any case of being damaged. 51
