Course Description<br />
VICO 4188 Interactive Capstone: Advanced Interactive Media 3 3 0 Advanced interactive media planning, production, user-interface, and<br />
information architecture. Students will apply advanced design, content<br />
management, and delivery across emerging platforms.<br />
VICO 4229 Advanced Photographic Illustration: Applications 3 3 0 A synthesis of business and photographic skills. Students will be given<br />
simulations based on a complete project concept that reflects the realities of<br />
working professionally. Students are required to have an approved<br />
professional camera and appropriate lenses, flash, and tripod for the course.<br />
Check with the department for current guidelines. Cooperative buying fee.<br />
VICO 4386 Photojournalism Capstone 3 3 0 Advanced visual production work in journalistic photographic reportage, with<br />
particular emphasis on the picture story and photographic essay. Participants<br />
are expected to synthesize learning from a wide variety of courses including<br />
design, writing, audio, and both still and motion imagery to produce complete<br />
communication packages for both print and electronic delivery. Students are<br />
required to have an approved professional camera and appropriate lenses (f<br />
2.8 or faster and at least one with an effective viewer wider than 35mm and<br />
one with an effective view of 100mm or longer), flash, and tripod for the<br />
course. Check with the department for current guidelines. Cooperative buying<br />
fee.<br />
WGS 4800 Capstone in Women's and Gender Studies 3 3 0 Guides students in identifying and researching a topic and producing a<br />
scholarly paper of 20 or more pages. Ideally the topic will build on previous<br />
work and thus involve significant revision in order to further refine the scope of<br />
research. The development of research skills is emphasized.<br />
