Judicial Proceedings Minutes<br />
Reinstatements and disciplinary proceedings are judicial proceedings and are not public<br />
meetings (ORS 192.690). This portion of the BOG meeting is open only to board members, staff,<br />
and any other person the board may wish to include. This portion is closed to the media. The<br />
report of the final actions taken in judicial proceedings is a public record.<br />
A. Reinstatements<br />
1. Martha E. Beaves – 980334<br />
Motion:<br />
Mr. Knight presented information concerning the BR 8.1 reinstatement<br />
application of Ms. Beaves and the recommendation to waive the one meeting<br />
notice requirement set forth in <strong>Bar</strong> Bylaw 6.103. Mr. Knight moved, and Mr.<br />
Haglund seconded, to waive the one meeting notice and recommend to the<br />
Supreme Court that Ms. Beaves’s reinstatement application be approved upon<br />
completion of 25 CLE credits. The motion passed unanimously.<br />
2. Philip R. Bennett – 841687<br />
Motion:<br />
Mr. Knight, in Mr. Emerick's absence, presented information concerning the BR<br />
8.1 reinstatement application of Mr. Bennett to satisfy the one meeting notice<br />
requirement set forth in <strong>Bar</strong> Bylaw 6.103. Mr. Bennett’s application will be<br />
placed on a future agenda for consideration and action.<br />
3. Jennifer M. Gleason – 935198<br />
Motion:<br />
Ms. DiIaconi presented information concerning the BR 8.1 reinstatement<br />
application of Ms. Gleason. Ms. DiIaconi moved, and Ms. Matsumonji seconded,<br />
to recommend to the Supreme Court that Ms. Gleason's reinstatement<br />
application be approved effective January 1, <strong>2013</strong>. The motion passed<br />
unanimously.<br />
4. Paul S. Majkut – 872900<br />
Motion:<br />
Ms. Matsumonji, presented information concerning the BR 8.1 reinstatement<br />
application of Mr. Majkut. Ms. Matsumonji moved, and Mr. Prestwich seconded,<br />
to recommend to the Supreme Court that Mr. Majkut's reinstatement<br />
application be approved effective January 1, <strong>2013</strong>. The motion passed<br />
unanimously.<br />
