• Troy Wood started <strong>February</strong> 19 th as Assistant General Counsel and CAO<br />

Attorney. John Gleason will start the beginning of March as Disciplinary<br />

Counsel and Director of Regulatory Services.<br />

• AJ Ochoa, Carlos Diaz, and Mike Blythe were hired as RIS Assistants. AJ and<br />

Carlos are bilingual.<br />

• Danny <strong>Bar</strong>bour was hired in the IT Department as the Technical Support<br />

Specialist.<br />

• The BBX has scheduled phone interviews for nine candidates on March 1 st .<br />

Temporary employees were brought in to fill 1.5 FTE in administrative staff<br />

until the new department manager is hired.<br />

• There is a .5 FTE position to fill in Accounting.<br />

• The HR Director made two presentations to the ABA Standing Committee<br />

on Lawyer Referral Services annual conference. One was about hiring an LRS<br />

team and the other about motivating and fostering a team environment.<br />

She also presented to a senior HR management majors class at PSU about a<br />

career in HR.<br />

The 2012 revision of Administering <strong>Oregon</strong> Estates<br />

The <strong>2013</strong> revision of Consumer Law in <strong>Oregon</strong><br />

The 2012 supplements of Uniform Civil and Criminal Jury Instructions<br />

Two additional chapters of the <strong>2013</strong> revision of Family Law<br />

• Administering <strong>Oregon</strong> Estates went to the printer on December 17. Preorder<br />

marketing campaign began on October 15.<br />

2012 Budget = $13,500; Actual to date = $57,442<br />

Of the total revenue to date, $35,710 will be <strong>2013</strong> revenue<br />

• Consumer Law in <strong>Oregon</strong> went to the printer on January 28. Pre‐order<br />

marketing campaign began on November 27.<br />

<strong>2013</strong> Budget = $15,000; Actual to date = $16,635<br />

• Uniform Civil Jury Instructions and Uniform Criminal Jury Instructions<br />

supplements went to the printer on <strong>February</strong> 7. Pre‐order marketing<br />

campaign began on December 13.<br />

Civil – <strong>2013</strong> Budget = $29,850; Actual to date = $19,215<br />

Criminal – <strong>2013</strong> Budget = $<strong>22</strong>,025; Actual to date = $11,365<br />

• We are negotiating with Bloomberg Financial LLP to license some our<br />

books. We have reached agreement on the titles to be licensed and the fee<br />

and are in the process of finalizing the terms of the Agreement. Annual<br />

revenue from this arrangement will be $24,000. Additional titles may be<br />

added for a fee of $1,200 per title.<br />

• We are negotiating with Lexis Nexis to license our jury instructions for their<br />

online database. The fee will be a royalty of 20% of the fees allocated to<br />

subscriber usage of the jury instructions.
