the term respite care was changed to respite care/time out.<br />

<strong>The</strong> participant information letter and the revised CSQ were sent to the remaining<br />

groups. Follow-up telephone calls were made to groups who had not returned the<br />

questionnaire after 2 weeks and another call was made to groups who had not<br />

responded after 4 weeks; a final scoop was undertaken 6-8 months later. Repeat<br />

questionnaires were sent by e-mail or by post when requested; a total of 26 groups<br />

participated.<br />

frequencies and percentages were recorded for each of the relevant variables in<br />
