1) Cost of concentrated feed @ 8 Kg/ cow/ day @ Rs. 10/ per Kg. for 365 days: Rs 29,200.00
2) Cost of Veterinary Aids, medicines, etc. @ Rs. 500/- per animal per year
3) Water & Electricity charge @ Rs. 30 per animal per month: Rs. 360.00
4) Insurance premium @ 6.5 % of original Cost: Rs. 1950.00

Assumption and Technical norms
1. Cost of one Dairy Buffalo: Rs. 35,000.00
2. Floor space: 50 sq.ft. per cow.
3. Feed consumption: 8 Kg. concentrate 25 Kg. fodder per day
4. Feed price : Rs. 10/- per Kg. ( concentrate feed )
5. Selling Price of milk : Rs. 20 per litre.
6. Manure Production : 5 tonnes per animal per year.
