9. Course policies:<br />

1) Satisfactory completion of all the course assignments is required to achieve a passing<br />

grade in the class.<br />

2) All the exams and quizzes should be taken only on the assigned dates and times.<br />

Being able to read and understand the question is a part of the exam. All quizzes and<br />

exams will be close book. No make-up exams, quizzes, class activities or homework<br />

will be given.<br />

3) Per<strong>for</strong>mance Expectations: Prepare adequately <strong>for</strong> each class session using<br />

appropriate study strategies; Do your own work; Learn by doing; Have and use all<br />

textbooks and required materials; Listen actively and carefully in class, including<br />

following all directions; Participate in class activities and discussions.<br />

4) Class attendance is required.<br />

5) Late policy – no material may be handed in late without prior approval from your<br />

instructor.<br />

6) Up to 20% points of your course will be removed <strong>for</strong> disruption of class proceedings<br />

including, late arrival to the class, cell phone interruptions, and creating noisy<br />

environment <strong>for</strong> other students and the instructor. No Internet surfing, checking<br />

email, cell phone communications or other distracting behavior is allowed during<br />

class unless these actions are specific to class work.<br />

7) Tampering with lab equipment will result in immediate removal from class and loss<br />

of login privileges in accordance with the technology policy green paper you signed.<br />

8) Any student who cheats or represented another’s work as his/her own, or assists<br />

another student in cheating will automatically fail the course. Further, the case will<br />

be reported to department, college and university <strong>for</strong> further action. Refer student<br />

9) Americans With Disability Act (ADA) <strong>St</strong>atement – A student who has a disability<br />

that might affect his/her per<strong>for</strong>mance in this course should consult with the instructor<br />

and the campus ADA compliance office, in confidence, by the second class session<br />
