6. In the base year, greenhouse gas emissions from<br />

the business sector (including those from its use<br />

of energy) were 97.2 MtC. In 2004, emissions<br />

from this sector were about 28 per cent below<br />

1990 levels and they are projected to be around<br />

33 per cent below base year levels by 2010,<br />

mainly because of fuel switching in the electricity<br />

supply industry, other fuel switching and<br />

improved energy intensity. Emissions are<br />
