Sign, date the report, attach any relevant additional information and forward to the<br />
<strong>Harbour</strong> Master.<br />
3.3.8 AIS non-conformance<br />
AIS non-compliance should be reported to the MCA as a Notification of a Deficiency<br />
and recorded in the log. In assessing reportable non-compliance, the following AIS<br />
fields should be correctly transmitted as a minimum:<br />

Course Over Ground/Speed Over Ground<br />
Correct static data i.e. vessel name, MMSI number, IMO number, call sign,<br />
dimensions (based on correct transponder position).<br />
3.4 Detention of vessels by MCA<br />
The MCA may detain vessels that fail Port State Control inspections. Should the<br />
vessel in question request a Pilot before notification of release is received, notify the<br />
HM and MCA.<br />
3.5 International Vessel and Port Security (ISPS) Code<br />
Specific ISPS procedures are provided by the Port Security Officer. The International<br />
Vessel and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code applies to the following types of<br />
Vessels engaged on international voyages:<br />

Passenger Vessels (including high speed passenger craft);<br />
Cargo Vessels (including high speed craft) of more than 500 GT; and<br />
Any berth that handles vessels on international voyages should be designated<br />
as an ISPS port facility.<br />
3.6 Port Waste<br />
Vessels must provide the <strong>Harbour</strong> Master with prior notification of their onboard<br />
waste and what they plan to discharge in port.<br />
